THESE INSTRUCTIONS EXPLAIN GENERAL OPERATING PROCEDURE.  THEY MAY NOT BE EXACT TO YOUR BATTERY MODEL.  THERE MAY BE ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS OR WARRANTY INFORMATION THAT ACCOMPANY YOUR BATTERY.

HEATING-COIL GRILL ADVISORY

This is NOT a car lighter! It is designed to not require any use of force.  This is purposely done to protect the integrity of your heating coil grill and your cigar.  Any pushing, pressing, stabbing, mashing, or use force with your cigar or other object against the grill can reduce the heating coils ability to heat to full capacity or cause it to completely cease operation.  The grill will naturally bend and misshape from normal use over time. It is designed to light cigars that are 62-ring gauge or smaller.

Your heating coil will glow red hot when in use.  This is a visual indicator to let you know that the heating coil is hot.  Over time the visual indicator will fade toward the edges of the heating coil cylinder.  This is an indicator that your heating coil is near the end of its life cycle and it is time to order new heating coils.  However, in most circumstances your heating coil will work in this end-of-life state for some time at a reduced yet effective capacity.

Heating coil lifespan varies and is highly dependent on individual use.  Fuego Lighters DOES NOT & WILL NOT replace heating coils that stop working from normal wear & tear or by use of excessive force.  Replacement heating coils are available on our website.

UPGRADED BATTERY MODELS & ADJUSTABLE WATTAGE

Some batteries allow users to adjust the power setting of their lighter.  Under normal conditions, users should stay between 35W and 45W.  You may need to raise your wattage above 45W in adverse wind or weather conditions.  Higher wattage will drain your battery and coil life faster. Use of extreme wattage can short out your heating coil.  For your safety and preservation of your heating coil we recommend staying below 80W in any circumstance.  We do not sell and highly recommend users to NEVER use an unregulated mod battery with your heating coil.

Fuego Lighters IS NOT responsible for any damage or injury resulting from the use of unregulated batteries or extreme wattage.

BATTERY CHARGING

Charge your lighter with a USB wall plug.  Plug it into a direct power source (i.e. wall outlet).  Do not charge through a computer, tablet, gaming console, or other peripheral USB device as it may not fully-charge the battery power cells.  Non-digital Fuego batteries have a light located underneath the charging port on the battery.  A red light indicates charging.  This light will turn off when fully charged.  Once charged your lighter is ready for use. Charging may take up to 2-hours for a complete charge of a dead, non-digital Fuego battery.

USE

STEP 1: Screw the heating coil clockwise onto the battery until you are unable to turn it.

STEP 2: Turn your lighter on by pressing the power button 5 times as quickly as possible.  Depending on model, the power button or digital screen will illuminate to indicate it is ready for use.

NOTE: Some battery models have a 15-second auto-off safety feature.  Your battery will turn off if the power button is not pressed within a 15-seconds time span.  You will need to repeat step two (2) in order to power your battery back on if this feature enables.

STEP 3: With the battery turned on and the heating coil connected; press and hold the power button.  The grill of the heating coil will start to glow red-hot in 3.5 seconds or less.  It will remain red-hot as long as you press and hold the power button.  Most battery models operate in 10 to 12 second cycles and will automatically cut-off (safety feature).  Release, re-press and hold the power button to start a new cycle.  SEE RECOMMENDED LIGHTING PROCEDURE BELOW.

BEFORE & AFTER-USE SAFETY PRECAUTION

Always treat your lighter as an open flame even when not in use.  NEVER touch the grill before or after use.  Use extreme caution when handling the heating coil after use.  The heating coil will reach hundreds of degrees in seconds and will need a brief period of time to cool before it should be handled or transported. Before pocketing or transport: Confirm the battery is off and the heating coil has completely cooled (DO NOT use your finger to check grill for heat).  Clean ash and debris with the provided brush. Separate the heating coil from the battery.

RECOMMENDED LIGHTING PROCEDURE

Step 1: Rest the foot of the cigar on the grill.

Step 2: Use a cycle to toast the foot of the cigar.  Additional toasting cycles are common and depend on the type or size of cigar, environment, battery power, condition of heating coil, or simply preference.

Step 3: Use a final cycle to take a few puffs and achieve a full, even, and perfect light.

RELIGHTING: Knock off as much ash as possible from your cigar and use as normal.  You may need to angle your lighting if you are attempting to fix a run.  We recommend our CHERRY PICKER to remove ash.  Available on our website.

TRANSPORT & TRAVEL: Make sure the battery is off and the heating cool has completely cooled.  Clean ash and debris with the provided brush.  Separate the heating coil from the battery.  IMPORTANT! If you are traveling through a TSA checkpoint, ALL lithium-ion batteries must be taken in your carry-on luggage.  DO NOT pack lithium-ion batteries in your checked baggage; it will be confiscated by TSA!  If you do not have your original packaging, put the heating coil and battery in two different compartments of your carry-on.  Fuego Lighters IS NOT responsible for confiscation decisions made by any government authority or the like.

REPLACING YOUR COIL: Your Fuego Lighter is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and your heating coil is your premium alternative to butane.  However, like butane, your heating coil will eventually run its course and need to be replaced.  Coil lifespan is highly dependent on the user, maintenance, and overall use.  It is important to clean and maintain your coil to achieve maximum longevity of your heating coil.  Replacement heating coils are available for purchase.  We appreciate your business and the fact that you read the instructions.  As a thank you, use code ILOVEMYFUEGO to receive 20% off your next purchase of heating coils from our website.
